سي السيد يبحث عن زينب
فجأة استيقظ سي السيد من نومه ونادى على زينب, كي تسكب له الماء من الجرّة ولم تجبه ولم تأتي. فأضافة فوق التكشيرة تكشيرة وزمجرة منادياً زينب .
ظن أن انتظاره لن يطول عن ثوان وستأتي مسرعة اليه. ومرت الثواني و بضع دقائق ولم تهرع اليه كما اعتاد لثلاثين عاماً.
خرج من الغرفة متصوراً مائدة الإفطار جاهزة على الطبيلة ولكنه لم يجد الفطور وكذلك الطبلية! ذهب الى المطبخ متخيلاً وجودها بجانب البنور فلم يجدها ولم...
